Platform Update
Introducing Webplatform Social Publisher for WordPress
Publishing a useful WordPress article is only the first step. Businesses also need a practical way to share each new post with the audiences they have built on social media. Webplatform Social Publisher brings that workflow into WordPress with guided setup, per-post controls, and customer-facing sharing options.
The free plugin supports Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, and eligible Instagram professional accounts. Website owners can start with an easy Jetpack Social connection or use the advanced direct API mode when their organization already manages approved Meta and LinkedIn developer applications.
Publish WordPress posts without repeating the same work
Webplatform Social Publisher is designed for businesses that regularly publish announcements, service guides, educational articles, offers, or company updates. When a new blog post is published, the configured social workflow can share its title, message, link, and eligible featured image to selected business accounts.
Each post includes network controls so an editor can choose the appropriate destinations and customize the social message. Successful direct publications are recorded to reduce the risk of duplicate posts when WordPress processes background publishing tasks.
Easy Facebook and LinkedIn setup with Jetpack Social
The recommended connection method uses Jetpack Social. A website administrator signs in through the normal connection screen, selects the business accounts, and enables automatic sharing. This route does not require the merchant to create and maintain a separate Meta or LinkedIn developer application.
When easy mode is active, Webplatform Social Publisher does not send the same post through its direct API workflow. This separation helps prevent Jetpack and the plugin from publishing duplicate copies.
Advanced direct publishing for managed applications
Organizations that already operate approved developer applications can select advanced mode and connect through the official Meta and LinkedIn APIs. This option is intended for teams that understand provider permissions, access-token maintenance, application review, and account eligibility.
Direct Instagram publishing requires an Instagram professional account connected to a Facebook Page. The WordPress post must also have a publicly accessible featured image that meets the provider's requirements.
Help readers share useful blog posts
The plugin can add Facebook, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn share buttons after WordPress blog posts. These buttons only open a network's sharing destination after the visitor chooses one; the plugin does not use them to silently publish or track visitors.
Website owners can enable the buttons globally or place them in selected content with the [webplatform_share_buttons] shortcode.
