How to Choose the Right WebPlatform Module: A Safe Merchant Onboarding Guide

Choosing a business platform should begin with the result you want—not with the longest feature list. A merchant may need more campaign responses, a connected Shopify or WordPress journey, reliable appointment follow-up, or clearer reporting. Trying to activate every tool at once usually creates more setup work and makes validation harder.

This guide helps merchants choose a sensible WebPlatform starting point, create an account, connect an existing channel, and validate one useful workflow before expanding.

Start with one measurable business result

Before selecting a module, write down the first result the business wants to improve. Good starting outcomes include:

  • Generate and qualify more enquiries from a campaign.
  • Connect Shopify customers and eligible order activity with engagement workflows.
  • Connect a WordPress or WooCommerce website with email, messaging, and supported events.
  • Reduce missed appointments with organised booking communication and follow-up.
  • Understand what visitors do after an email or WhatsApp campaign.
  • Bring leads from different sources into a more consistent operating process.

Choose one outcome that can be tested. Additional channels and modules can be introduced after the first journey works end to end.

Which WebPlatform path should you choose?

Email and WhatsApp campaign growth

Choose this path when the immediate need is to communicate with an eligible audience, measure supported delivery and engagement events, and coordinate follow-up. Start with a small, consent-aware audience and one campaign goal. Test delivery, links, unsubscribe behaviour, website events, and the selected conversion before increasing volume.

Shopify engagement

Choose the Shopify path when the store is the main source of customer and order activity. Install WebPlatform Engage through the approved Shopify flow, review the requested permissions, link or create the WebPlatform merchant account, select the required modules, and use Shopify-managed billing for applicable charges. Confirm the active plan and complete a controlled customer or order test before using synchronized data in campaigns.

WordPress and WooCommerce

Choose a WordPress connector when the website captures enquiries, customers, bookings, or WooCommerce activity. Install the relevant connector, link it to the correct WebPlatform merchant account, and complete the setup wizard. Validate the website connection, sending domain where applicable, and a test event before depending on the integration.

Appointments and service operations

Choose this path when bookings, reminders, staff coordination, and customer follow-up are the priority. Define the appointment status flow first: requested, confirmed, rescheduled, completed, or cancelled. Then configure only the messages and follow-up actions needed at each stage.

Lead and website attribution

Choose this path when the business needs to understand which campaign or source generated a visit, enquiry, booking, or configured conversion. Use the guided website-tracking setup and validation. Tracking should be lightweight and processed asynchronously so it does not block normal page rendering. Collect only the events required for the stated business purpose.

A safe onboarding sequence

  1. Describe the goal: Identify one business result and the customer action that represents success.
  2. Choose the source: Confirm whether customers currently arrive through Shopify, WordPress/WooCommerce, another website, campaigns, appointments, or manual lead activity.
  3. Create the merchant account: Register using the business contact details and verify the account through the provided flow.
  4. Select the starting module: Activate only what is needed for the first journey. Review plan inclusions and provider charges before confirming a paid option.
  5. Connect through the guided wizard: Use the approved OAuth, plugin, domain, or script-based setup for the selected channel.
  6. Validate: Confirm the connection status and send a controlled test event, campaign, booking, or order journey.
  7. Review reporting: Verify that the expected event appears in the authorised dashboard without duplicate or unexpected records.
  8. Launch gradually: Begin with a limited audience or workflow, monitor usage and outcomes, and expand only after the result is reliable.

What to prepare before registration

  • The business name and an authorised business email address.
  • The website, Shopify store, or WordPress site that will be connected.
  • The first module and measurable outcome you want to validate.
  • An authorised administrator who can approve the connector permissions.
  • A test customer, campaign, booking, or order scenario.
  • Your consent, privacy, audience, and data-retention requirements.

Information you should never share in public chat

The WebPlatform onboarding assistant can explain public capabilities and guide setup, but it should never ask for passwords, one-time passwords, payment-card details, API keys, access tokens, database credentials, server access, private customer records, or security configuration. Do not paste those items into a chat or support message.

For account-specific investigation, use the authorised dashboard and verified support process. Complex setup, custom integration, billing, legal, security, or private-data questions should be reviewed by a WebPlatform expert.

How to validate the first journey

A successful connection is more than a green status badge. Complete a realistic test and confirm the full sequence:

  1. The source platform creates the expected test event.
  2. WebPlatform receives it for the correct merchant account.
  3. The event appears once, with the expected source and status.
  4. Any email or messaging action follows the configured consent and audience rules.
  5. Opens, clicks, website activity, appointments, orders, or other selected outcomes appear only when supported and configured.
  6. Usage remains within the chosen plan and operating budget.
  7. Unsubscribe, disconnect, failure, and retry scenarios behave as expected.

Choose your next step

If you already know your goal, create a WebPlatform merchant account. To compare available solutions, explore need-based journeys, review WebPlatform services, browse Shopify and WordPress connectors, or compare plans and pricing.

If you are unsure where to begin, ask the WebPlatform onboarding assistant. It will help identify a suitable starting path without requesting private credentials or internal access. For a reviewed implementation plan, contact the WebPlatform team.
